Marius van Rooyen

Marius is the third of the three founding members of Abax Investments. He worked at Brait Specialised Funds from September 2001 to June 2003, where he was one of the team that started the Brait Hedge Fund of Funds business.

Prior to Brait, Marius worked at Nedcor Investment Bank (previously Syfrets Managed Assets and where he too first worked with Tim) as an information technology analyst. At NIB Marius was responsible for the management of unit trusts and pension funds, in addition to his specialist role as technology analyst: domestic and international.

Marius's career started as an engineer and management consultant for AECI and Gemini Consulting respectively - focusing on oil, energy and financial services related projects.
